Needle Felting Kit: Vintage Bear with String Joints

Living Felt began in 2004 with one single project = a step-by-step tutorial for needle felting a string jointed bear. This is a perfect needle felting project for beginners as well as more advanced felters.

Instructions for this kit are on video (see links below).

First, we will make a smooth coated brown bear named "Cookie" then you are ready to add your fur coat, transforming "Cookie" into "Muffin" :).

Kit Includes:

- CW-1 Core Wool

- Wool Batting in a Tan for the body and a Dark Brown tone for accents

- NZ Corriedale and other long fibers to make the fur coat

- 4mm Glass Eyes in black

- Thread for string jointing

*The kit is designed to make one bear with fiber left over. If you want to make two, consider ordering an extra set of glass eyes, and divide all fibers in half before starting your bears.

Also Needed:

- Felting needles (coarse to very fine)

- Needle Felting Pad (5x5 or larger)

- Button Thread or Waxed Floss

- Doll Needle (long enough to go through body)

- Scissors

- Wire Cutters

- Scale or ruler - optional
