Felting a Celebration Chameleon with Laura Ricks
We are kicking off our 20th Birthday with a fantastic free felting tutorial from Laura Ricks!
Her gift to the Living Felt Community is this wet and needle felted Celebration Chameleon!
This super cute chameleon uses Wool Nepps in a way you just have to see! You’ll have a blast creating your chameleon’s color pattern and working with Wool nepps as the textural, bumpy chameleon skin.
Make it your own by changing up the background, and maybe blend your chameleon right in!
Join Laura in the Living Felt Studio for this hour-long tutorial where she takes you step by step through her tried and true layout, wet felting, and needle felting processes.
Laura is a prolific felt artist and teacher (Insta: @EmeraldHillTextiles), and she has many courses available on FeltingTutorials.com! If you haven’t taken a course with Laura yet, this Celebration Chameleon is a great way to get to know her teaching style and just a few of her fabulous felting tips & tricks. Her courses teach larger projects that go into much more detail, but they are oh-so worth it for the amazing results!
For long-time fans & followers of Laura’s art and tutorials, there are whispers in the fairy woods of a new tutorial coming later this year!
Stay tuned to learn more!
