NZ Corriedale Sliver (sometimes called "roving") is sold by the ounce. It is a wonderful needle felting wool and may also be used in wet felting and spinning.
The higher micron makes it somewhat coarse and therefore is often used for longer fur or hair on animals or dolls. It also tends to create a more stiff wet felted piece.
