FAIRY SPECIAL DEALS
Living Felt special deals are a great way to stock your felting studio with fun supplies! When we first began, way back in 2004, there wasn’t anywhere we knew in the USA where you could walk into a store and buy felting supplies. Sharing felting kits and tutorials was the birth of Living Felt, and we listened when our friends asked, where can I buy felting supplies? We asked what you wanted us to carry and learned that you wanted us to bring you the felting supplies you needed to not only get started felting, but to keep learning and keep exploring.
What supplies do I need to start needle felting? Begin with the basics: for needle felting, that means wool, felting needles and needle felting pads. Depending on what you want to needle felt, you might need our CW-1 Core Wool and MC-1 Batting. For longer hair or fur, check out our New Zealand Corriedale Sliver (some call it roving) or Merino Top.
What do I need to start wet felting? For getting started with wet felting, the basics you need are wool fiber, water, we suggest our olive oil soap, a mesh barrier and some bubble wrap. Of course we have wet felting tool bundle that can help you start wet felting flat or over a resist and have lots of fun right away. To make sure you can get all wool, fiber, tools and felting supplies you need, we dreamed up a fun idea, offering a felters deal of the day on wool, felting packs, felting tutorials, felting kits and more!
Did you know that we offer a ton of FREE felting tutorial videos? We teach you how to needle felt and how to wet felt. You can learn about different tools for wet felting and needle felting, learn how to mount your felt artwork, learn how to make sense of your felting needles and more!
Tune into our show Wooly Wednesday with Marie Spaulding and the Living Felt Fairies. You can even meet some of our felting friends and teachers from our online school FeltingTutorials.com That’s right, we have an online felting school, so when you are ready to learn more, increase your felting skills and felt some great projects, you can learn online and at your own pace.
