Supply Guide
1. Background Fabric
Choose the surface for your 2D needle felted project.
SuggestedLinen fabric, or 100% Wool Felt
2. Wool Colors
Choose colors for your project shapes, details, and background accents.
SuggestedFor most pictures we will suggest primarily wool batting such as MC-1, Maori and Bergschaf, but you an also use fine Merino Tops and NZ Corriedale - see video for tips
3. Details & Accents
Add personality, texture, contrast, and decorative details.
SuggestedYou can add sparkle with Angelina, sheen with viscose, bamboo or silk fibers, or texture with nepps or yarn. A fun project for this is the Kona Beach 2D needle felting kit.
4. Tools & Notions
Gather helpful needle felting tools before you begin.
SuggestedNeedle felting WOW mat or foam pad 9x9 or larger, felting needles fine such as 42 Triangle, 40 Triangle, Righty needle felting tool, iron-on transfer pen.
