Core Wool 26 - 29 microns
Core Wool in felting is generally used for the insides or base layers of felting projects. For needle felting, you might use core wool to needle felt the basic shape of an animal and then cover it with dyed wool. Core wool might be used for the base layer of a picture, whether it is wet felted or needle felted. Core wool can also be used for the base layer of a wet felted vessel, or even for stuffing a wet felted item such as a pillow or other 3D item that was felted over a resist.
Living Felt CW-1 Core Wool comes from sheep raised on U.S. farms. It is carefully washed with an eco-friendly soap, and air dried. No harsh chemicals are used in this process, and our fiber is not "carbonized", it un-dyed and prepared into large, lofty batts on a drum carder.
You can needle felt it or wet felt it. Developed by a felter for felters.
