Open lab workshops such as this are designed to be small in size to support
a strong learning environment for everyone involved.
**After reserving your space, please email customer service and tell us the type of project you with to make or include a few sample photos so we can better understand and assist in your goals.

- Creating a fine felt with a wonderful finish
- Project size should be contained within a 30" x 30" area, we will
not have time to explore larger projects in this one-day lab.

We will be using fine Merino Top, Wool Silk blends, Merino Prefelts and a variety
of luster fibers such as Bamboo Top, Silk Top, Silk Hankies, Wool Nepps, etc.
Standing is involved. We will be
rolling our felt which requires some physical exertion. Please wear comfortable
shoes and clothes.
What to Bring
A notebook and pen
Lunch - we can order out, or you can bring your own.
We have a fridge and toaster oven (no microwave).
you might bring
Inspiration photos or drawings, fibers or yarn from your stash that
you have been saving for a special project, lightweight silk for nuno felt inlays
Sharp scissors, a tape measure
3 old bath size towels
**If you are making a hat and have a hat block, you can bring it
**If you are making a purse or other item and you have a model that you like,

Marie Spaulding first began felting around the year 2000 -- she quickly jumped
in to needle felting, wet felting and nuno felting.
Exploring new techniques and processes is a passion and a hobby. Marie believes
and appreciates that everyone has a unique creative expression,
and she loves facilitating the creative explorations and expansion of others.
Marie founded Living Felt in 2004.
What started as a hobby is now her daily blessing to live, work and share.
