 Printing & Nuno Felt  Workshop

This workshop is designed to enhance students’ feltwork by developing their printmaking skills.

During the three days, students will learn how to create their own printed fabric pieces then nuno-felt them into 3D sculptural work.

Day 1 & 2 will explore colour mixing and printing techniques to be used with commercial stamps and stencils as well as found and natural objects. Students will also have the opportunity to create and use their own unique stamps and stencils.

Day 3 will focus on incorporating students’ prints into 3D vessels and manipulating felt made on a simple resist into different shapes.

Peta will bring along a range of printed samples and her collection of handcrafted and commercial stamps/stencils along with finished works to inspire creativity and showcase the possibilities of incorporating printmaking in felt.

Students will go home with one to two finished pieces and a selection of beautiful prints to incorporate in future work.

What to Bring:

  • A notebook, pen, sharpie marker
  • Lunch - we can order out, or you can bring your own.
We have a fridge and toaster oven (no microwave).

  • Students will receive a supply list via email

Please Note: As we’ll be working with fabric paints/inks, please wear clothing that will be enhanced by some additional decoration – or bring an apron if preferred. Some standing is involved – please wear comfortable shoes.
