Printing & Nuno Felt Workshop
This workshop is designed to enhance
students’ feltwork by developing their printmaking skills.
During the three days, students will learn
how to create their own printed fabric pieces then nuno-felt them into 3D
Day 1 & 2 will explore colour mixing and
printing techniques to be used with commercial stamps and stencils as well as found
and natural objects. Students will also have the opportunity to create and use
their own unique stamps and stencils.
Day 3 will focus on incorporating
students’ prints into 3D vessels and manipulating felt made on a simple resist
into different shapes.
Peta will bring along a range of
printed samples and her collection of handcrafted and commercial
stamps/stencils along with finished works to inspire creativity and showcase
the possibilities of incorporating printmaking in felt.
Students will go home with one to two
finished pieces and a selection of beautiful prints to incorporate in future
What to Bring:
A notebook, pen, sharpie marker
Lunch - we can order out, or you can bring your own.
We have a fridge and toaster oven (no microwave).
Students will receive a supply list via email
Please Note: As we’ll be working with fabric
paints/inks, please wear clothing that will be enhanced by some additional
decoration – or bring an apron if preferred. Some standing is involved – please
wear comfortable shoes.

About The Instructor:
Peta Korb is a textile artist based
in Western Australia, Australia. Starting her journey with textiles as a theatrical
costume designer, Peta went on to work as a puppet maker and corporate events designer.
Discovering wool as a medium for her
textile work in more recent years, using both wet felting and needle felting
techniques, Peta has received several awards for her 3D sculptures and wearable
